Major dark web drug suppliers have started to voluntarily ban the synthetic opioid fentanyl because it is too dangerous, the National Crime Agency has said.
They are “delisting” the high-strength painkiller, effectively classifying it alongside mass-casualty firearms and explosives as commodities that are considered too high-risk to trade. Fentanyl can be up to 100 times stronger than heroin and can easily cause accidental overdoses, particularly when mixed with heroin.

A Bismarck man pleaded guilty in federal court on Friday to stealing a forklift and planning to "flip" President Donald Trump's limousine on the day of his Mandan refinery speech.
Gregory Lee Leingang, 42, was charged in federal court with one count of attempting to enter or remain in a restricted building and on grounds while using a dangerous weapon, as well one count of attempting to damage government property.

- Two senior US lawmakers warned members of President Donald Trump's cabinet Chinese telecommunications giant ZTE may have violated an agreement it struck with the US.
- Republican Senator Marco Rubio and Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen cited a Reuters report about ZTE's provision of a population database for the Venezuelan government.
- The database allows the Venezuelan government to monitor its citizens through centralized video surveillance and other methods, has components manufactured by Dell Technologies.
- Though Dell's transaction appears to have been with ZTE in China, the senators are concerned that ZTE may have violated US sanctions.

The White House called the Trump-Xi meeting "highly successful," saying the U.S. will leave existing tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods at 10% and refrain from raising that rate to 25% as planned on Jan. 1. In exchange, the U.S. wants an immediate start to talks on Trump's biggest complaints about Chinese trade practices: intellectual property theft, non-tariff barriers and cyber theft.
After 90 days, if there's no progress on structural reform, the U.S. will raise those tariffs to 25%, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement. China also agreed to boost its purchases of agricultural and industrial goods to reduce its trade imbalance with the U.S., she said.
