Bolton has been trying to convince Trump to hold off on withdrawing 2,000+ US troops from Syria. During a Sunday interview, Bolton revealed the change in direction, which has contradicted messages issued from both Pentagon and admin officials. On Monday, Trump slammed the New York Times piece that heavily quoted Bolton saying it was “a very inaccurate story on my intentions for Syria,”. The US delegation was caught on camera appearing disunited among themselves while exiting the presidential compound in Ankara, Turkey.
