Bryan Singer has been trailed by accusations of sexual misconduct for 20 years. Here, his alleged victims tell their stories…
January 23, 2019
We spent 12 months investigating various lawsuits and allegations against Singer. In total, we spoke with more than 50 sources, including four men who have never before told their stories to reporters. A man we’ll call Eric told us that he was 17 in 1997 when he and Singer had sex at a party at the director’s house; another we’ll call Andy says he was only 15 that same year, when he and Singer had sex in a Beverly Hills mansion. Both men say Singer, who was then in his early 30s, knew they were under 18, the age of consent in California. (They asked The Atlantic to conceal their identity for fear of retaliation, and because they didn’t want certain details about their past made public.)

January 23, 2019
A caravan of Central American migrants seeking to reach the U.S. is set to swell in coming days as thousands gather at Mexico’s southern border waiting for humanitarian visas that have become much easier to get under Mexico’s new government.
Around 5,600 Central Americans are awaiting visas at Tecún Umán, on Guatemala’s border with Mexico, Mexican officials said Tuesday. The visas would allow them to continue their journey north without the risk of deportation from Mexico.
White House announces 51 judicial picks, including two for liberal Ninth Circuit…
January 23, 2019
The White House on Tuesday announced the re-nomination of 51 federal judicial nominees left over from the previous Congress, kickstarting the administration's effort to install more conservative judges after GOP activists worried that such appointments had stalled.
Nine of the 51 appointments are for spots on prestigious and influential federal appellate benches, including two on the mostly liberal San Francisco-based 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which President Trump has often derided as "disgraceful" and politically biased.
Adam Schitt admits to leaks that Don Jr accused him of, but wants you to call it something less slimy…
January 23, 2019
House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff defended himself Tuesday against Donald Trump Jr.’s accusation of leaking by stating he didn’t “leak” testimony, but rather he exposed it.
“That’s not a leak, it is exposure of his non-cooperation and his stonewalling of our committee,” Schiff responded when CNN’s Wolf Blitzer confronted him about Trump’s allegation.
Little Adam Schitt should be very nervous.

Perkins Coie just had over $2 million in assets seized in human trafficking case. They represented Hillary, John Kerry and met with James Baker over “dossier”…
January 23, 2019
So, the 7th line indicates that Perkins Coie had an account at US Bank with the amount of $2.9 million that was seized by the Federal government. The case is regarding the human trafficking surrounding Backpage.com. Many think this is a clue about bigger things to come.
The case is really about money laundering and Perkins Coie representing in this capacity might already be conflicts of interest. Perkins Coie is representing Backpage. Escrow account for retainer, etc, could certainly be a possibility.
"one of the defendants consented to the forfeiture of funds in several attorney IOLTA accounts. The Perkins account isn't listed in this plea, but it's very likely client funds were parked there for this purpose."
So looks like speculation still. But if this is the case, it seems it would indeed be retainer-type accounts which were forfeited in a plea deal.
The money is unearned retainer fees from IOLTA accounts, which means that it has not yet been earned by the firms and is still Backpage’s money.
