The Pembroke Pines Police Department was called to the scene of a possible sinkhole at the Flamingo Pines shopping plaza on Wednesday.
Officers arrived to find a hole in the pavement, which led to a tunnel that stretched from a wooded area toward a Chase bank.
Police also discovered tools for digging along with a pair of muddy boots, a homemade ladder and stool and a Honda generator, the news station reported.

A person familiar with the situation tells The Verge that early versions of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and other pre-release “dogfood” (beta) apps have stopped working, as have other employee apps, like one for transportation. Facebook is treating this as a critical problem internally, we’re told, as the affected apps simply don’t launch on employees’ phones anymore.
