Commanders of the Kurdish-led fighters known as the Syrian Democratic Forces said fierce clashes were taking place as they advance toward the last speck of land controlled by the Islamic State group. The militants fought back with snipers, suicide bombs and booby traps.
The U.S.-backed forces resumed an offensive to recapture the tiny area in the village of Baghouz in eastern Syria on Friday night, after a two-week pause to allow for the evacuation of civilians from the area. Retaking the sliver of land would be a milestone in the devastating four-year campaign to end ISIS’ self-proclaimed Islamic caliphate that once straddled vast territory across Syria and Iraq.
This story will not sound like the truth to you, but nonetheless, it is true. Felix Sater, who Democrats are calling as their second witness is a long time Clinton bud and a man who pulled off a $40 million dollar fraud, with a major assist from Loretta Lynch. He is also allegedly a major source for the fake Hillary dossier.
Democrats are particularly interested in hearing from Sater as he is a real estate developer and Trump business associate who was involved in the planning of the now-defunct Moscow Trump Tower project.
“Felix Sater has been an FBI informant and cooperator for years. He was protected by Loretta Lynch’s office in the Eastern District of New York as a cooperator,” former Justice Department attorney Sidney Powell told SiriusXM Patriot’s Andrew Wilkow at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday.
“I’ve heard the heartfelt cry of the protesters,” said Abdelaziz Bouteflika in a letter read out on national television on Sunday night. Addressing the uprising against his rule for the first time, he promised that, if re-elected in April, he would hold a national conference to implement political reforms and set a date for a second election where he would not be a candidate.
“[This] will find my successor in a manner incontrovertibly peaceful, free and transparent,” he said, adding that he would hold a national referendum to adopt “a new constitution which will mark the birth of a new republic and a new Algerian political system”.

In a podcast with former Daily Beast chief Tina Brown recorded earlier this week, Clinton was clear in delivering her marching orders to the Democratic Congress: keep digging.
“There is enough grounds in what has already been made public for the government, for Congress in particular, to be doing more with it,” Clinton said. “And I’m pleased that under Speaker Pelosi, the Democrats are beginning to hold hearings and try to connect some of these dots.”
Paul, speaking at the Southern Kentucky Lincoln Day Dinner late Saturday, said that he couldn't "vote to give extra-constitutional powers to the president."
“I can’t vote to give the president the power to spend money that hasn’t been appropriated by Congress. We may want more money for border security, but Congress didn’t authorize it. If we take away those checks and balances, it’s a dangerous thing," he said, according to the Bowling Green Daily News.
