Originally signed into law by President Obama in 2015, Trump's EO accelerates the program, which will be implemented by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in 20 top US airports by 2021 (Of note, seventeen international airports already use facial recognition, including "Atlanta, New York City, Boston, San Jose, Chicago, and two airports in Houston").
Some very suspicious things have taken place today concerning my family. I can't get into detail, but it left us all more than a little disturbed. Please pray for us and for our protection. For the public record, "I am not suicidal, am in good health, and avoid risky behavior."
The donation came after Jeb Bush’s brother Neil, who sits on the board of APIC, discussed a contribution in February 2015 with Gordon Tang, another APIC board member who is a Chinese national. In total, two Chinese nationals communicated about the donation, according to documents released by the FEC.
"This is news. I'm going to give you some news right now because I haven't said this to any press person before. But since you asked, and I've been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there's something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don't think we should go down that path, because it divides the country."
The massive bust Feb. 28 at the Port of New York/Newark in Elizabeth came after authorities checked a shipping container entering the country. They found 60 packages containing 3,200 pounds of a white powdery substance that proved to be cocaine, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement Monday.
The seizure, which has an estimated street value of $77 million, is the biggest cocaine bust at the ports since 1994 when about 6,600 pounds were seized, according to a CBP spokesman.
We’re now on pace for the worst year on the border in more than a decade, and the 76,000 illegal border crossings in February was the highest number for a single month in over a decade.
Without immediate action, this crisis is only going to get worse. Thankfully, President Trump reached his own “breaking point” with Congress weeks ago, and is taking the necessary steps to secure the border using his national emergency powers.
The wall is going to be built, and in fact, we’ve been building the wall at a steady pace ever since Donald Trump took office. No amount of histrionics from Nancy Pelosi can change that.
Earlier this month, an Oklahoma developer launched "63red Safe," described as "an app to keep conservatives safe as they eat and shop." The idea, according to founder Scott Wallace, is to "simply get these politics out of restaurants and businesses" - by gauging whether they would be friendly to conservatives.
"Reviews of local restaurant and businesses from a conservative perspective, helping (ensure that) you're safe when you shop and eat!" reads the app's description in the Google Play store.
Agents arrested almost 750 illegal aliens, most of whom were family groups from Central America who walked through the Colorado River vehicle barriers near Yuma and surrendered to agents. Approximately 87 percent were Guatemalan with the remaining being from Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, and Ecuador.
Yuma Sector agents provided medical treatment to 137 illegal aliens, either through medically certified agents, contract medical personnel at the stations or by transporting the subjects to local hospitals. Some of the medical ailments included: pregnancy complications, lacerations, blisters, respiratory issues, chicken pox, lice and scabies.
A dark money group based in California contributed $2 million to The Democracy Integrity Project, the organization that has contracted with Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele to investigate President Donald Trump.
The Democracy Integrity Project’s founder, a former staffer for Sen. Dianne Feinstein, has acknowledged to the FBI that the group provides information to the press, lawmakers and investigators.
Fund for a Better Future is the second Democracy Integrity Project donor to have been identified. George Soros gave $1 million to the group.
Some Amazon employees are reportedly suffering from severe emotional distress on the job.
The Daily Beast reported that emergency services were called to different Amazon warehouses around the US at least 189 times between October 2013 and October 2018 to respond to workers' "suicide attempts, suicidal thoughts, and other mental health episodes."
An Amazon spokesperson told Business Insider that the company offers employees "comprehensive medical care starting on day one so employees have access to the care when they need it most."
The three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit gave the parties until March 19 to establish good cause as to why they should remain sealed and, failing to do so, the summary judgment and supporting documents will be made public. The court reserved a ruling on the balance of the documents in the civil case, including discovery materials.
“We’re grateful that the court ruled the summary judgment papers are open and they are moving to expedite having them unsealed,’’ said Sanford Bohrer, the attorney representing the Miami Herald, which filed the motion last year to have the entire case file opened. The Herald’s appeal is supported by 32 other media companies, including The New York Times and The Washington Post.
The Cobb County District Attorney has released a 74-count indictment against 11 members of an offshoot of the infamous Bloods street gang.
Eleven members of the 1831 Piru sect were indicted Friday in a move prosecutors hailed as another blow to rising gang influence in Georgia. Gov. Brian Kemp made curtailing gang-related crimes a key issue for his campaign, and President Trump has cited the peril of gangs, particularly the MS13 group from El Salvador, as one reason for the need for tighter immigration control.
The massive stash was hidden in a shipping container that arrived at Port Newark on Feb. 28. But a search revealed 60 packages containing a white, powdery substance — which later tested positive for cocaine.
