More than 200 law enforcement personnel took part in the operation at CVE Technology Group in Allen, north of Dallas. Officials said the company refurbishes and repairs telecommunications equipment, including cellphones.
"The numbers of the administrative arrests we made today hint at the significant scope of this criminal investigation," Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent in Charge Katrina Berger said at a news conference. Berger said investigators had worked on the case for "at least a year" after receiving "many tips that they [CVE] were hiring illegal aliens who were using fraudulent documents."
Last week, it was reported that legendary Philadelphia battle rapper Tech 9 had died suddenly on March 24th, and now we’ve learned that he had been scheduled for arraignment on child porn and other charges on the day after his death.
At least three containers, possibly with electronic equipment and generators to provide extra power for the suspected railgun, were seen on the ship. If proven true, China could become the first nation to test a railgun weapons system at sea.
The baby’s 25-year-old mother called emergency services in Genoa, Italy, on Tuesday but the child was dead when they arrived, according to ANSA. His Nigerian mother and grandmother have been taking in for questioning, while the father was outside the country, according to the report. Investigators reportedly believe someone else carried out the circumcision and are trying to trace them through phone records of the baby’s family.
Millions of Facebook Inc’s user records were inadvertently posted on Amazon.com Inc’s cloud computing servers in plain sight, researchers at cybersecurity firm UpGuard reported on Wednesday. Facebook said last month it resolved a glitch that exposed passwords of millions of users stored in readable format within its internal systems to its employees. Cybersecurity blog KrebsOnSecurity also reported in March that the passwords were accessible to as many as 20,000 Facebook employees and dated back as early as 2012.

Gerard Mourou—one of the three winners of the 2018 Nobel Prize for Physics—claims that the lifespan of radioactive waste could potentially be cut to minutes from thousands of years. Although Mourou, 74, is quick to say that the laser option for nuclear waste that he and Irvine, California-based Professor Toshiki Tajima are working on may be years away, its promise has created a flurry of excitement for the sector in France.

The latest example of low-information liberals reacting to what they see on MSNBC and CNN was seen in a Palo Alto, Calif., Starbucks, where a woman with an affinity for Mohawks took to Facebook to boast about confronting an elderly man wearing a MAGA hat.
But thanks to a social media user going by the name “Amy,” who turned the tables on the unhinged woman, this story has a happy ending.
A packaged-food entrepreneur from California became the first of the 33 parents charged in the college bribery scandal to agree to plead guilty, disclosing the deal Wednesday as Hollywood actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin appeared in court along with some of the other defendants.
Peter Jan Sartorio, 53, was accused of paying $15,000 in cash to have someone correct his daughter’s answers on the ACT college entrance exam.
With 4 minutes to go before the close of trading and stocks within spitting territory of red for the day, someone had to take control of "price discovery" and with the FT's street cred already used up after it's "90% done" report last night, it was up to Bloomberg to preserve the "trade talk optimism" which it did when it reported fresh details on the ongoing trade deal being finalized (and we use the term loosely) between the US China, which according to Bloomberg source would give Beijing until 2025 to meet commitments on commodity purchases and allow American companies to wholly own enterprises in the Asian nation.
And here is where the "deal" gets downright farcical: according to the proposed agreement (and we again use the term loosely), China would commit by 2025 to buy more U.S. commodities, including soybeans and energy products, and allow 100 percent foreign ownership for U.S. companies operating in China as a binding pledge that can trigger retaliation from the U.S. if left unfulfilled.
In other words, any deal announced this week would be nothing more than a photo opportunity, and be completely toothless for the next 6 years. More importantly, as we noted earlier, the 5 years interval would allow stocks to levitate each and every day for the next 5 years on "trade deal optimism", putting S&P 36,000 within grasp.

...We have reports indicating that some people who use e-cigarettes, especially youth and young adults, are experiencing seizures following their use. Seizures or convulsions are known potential side effects of nicotine poisoning and have been reported in scientific literature in relation to intentional or accidental swallowing of nicotine-containing e-liquids. However, an FDA review of voluntary adverse event reports for these products submitted to the agency and to poison control centers has identified a total of 35 reported cases of seizures following use of e-cigarettes between 2010 and early 2019. While 35 cases may not seem like much compared to the total number of people using e-cigarettes, we are nonetheless concerned by these reported cases. We also recognize that not all of the cases may be reported...
