UPDATE: Google dissolves AI ethics board just one week after forming it…
April 5, 2019
Google today disclosed that it has dissolved a short-lived, external advisory board designed to monitor its use of artificial intelligence, following a week of controversy regarding the company’s selection of members. The decision, reported first today by Vox, is largely due to outcry over the board’s inclusion of Heritage Foundation president Kay Coles James, a noted conservative figure who has openly espoused anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and, through the Heritage Foundation, fought efforts to extend rights to transgender individuals and to combat climate change.
So if you're a conservative, expect to be scratched off any 'ethics' panels ruled by a majority of authoritative cultural marxists, and worst of all, those marxists will dig up some synthetic 'rhetoric' and artificially label you as anti-lgbtq in order to destroy you. By Google dissolving this ethics panel, they actually did better than letting it ride out as a far-left marxist committee. Surprised.

Japan space probe drops explosive on asteroid to make crater…
April 5, 2019
Friday's crater mission is the riskiest for Hayabusa2, as it had to immediately get away so it won't get hit by flying shards from the blast.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, or JAXA, said that Hayabusa2 dropped a "small carry-on impactor" made of copper onto the asteroid on Friday morning, and that data confirmed the spacecraft safely evacuated and remained intact. JAXA is analyzing data to examine if or how the impactor made a crater.
The copper explosive is the size of a baseball weighing two kilograms.

Third judge blocks citizenship question from 2020 census…
April 5, 2019
U.S. District Judge George Hazel in Maryland wrote that Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross's decision to add the question to the census was arbitrary and capricious, therefore violating federal law.
Hazel also ruled that adding the question could negatively impact the government’s ability to accurately count the number of U.S. residents. That’s in line with critics’ arguments that undocumented immigrants might be deterred from participating in the census if the citizenship question is included, leading to an inaccurate count.President Trump Participates in a Roundtable on Immigration and Border Security…
