The Pentagon said there were 6,053 reports of sexual assaults last year, according to an anonymous, bi-annual survey. It is a record number and the highest since the U.S. military began collecting this kind of survey data in 2004.
Taking into consideration unreported cases as well, the military survey estimated 20,500 male and female service members experienced some kind of sexual assault last year. The estimated number in 2016 was 14,900.

Assange addressed the court via video link from a prison in London, saying that he won’t “surrender myself for extradition for doing journalism that has won many awards and protected many people.” Judge Michael Snow said it will take “many months” before a full hearing was held on the substance of the U.S. extradition case. US Air Force Gen. Paul Selva was said to have cautioned against escalating the conflict when he was interrupted several times by the aides, some of whom asked about a more aggressive posture. The aides mirrored Bolton's view and queried Selva on military options, according to The Post. The continued interruptions irritated Selva, who reportedly slammed his hands on a wooden table, with a ring on his finger making a sound as it hit. The meeting reportedly ended earlier than expected.
One senior official said Selva had not given Bolton's team enough military options.

Marcus DiPaola, a videographer who was on the trail with Biden Wednesday night in Iowa, used his Twitter account to voice complaints from multiple members of the press regarding poor treatment from campaign staff, which was reportedly blocking reporters from asking questions and taking photographs of anyone who objected.
A reporter approached @JoeBiden to ask a question and a member of his staff told the reporter to leave, and when the reporter explained that they were just doing their job, the staffer said she was too. The staffer then took a photo of the reporter.
