O'Callaghan, who served as Rosenstein’s principal deputy, will be the second in command at the Justice Department until the Senate confirms a new deputy. Jeffrey Rosen has been nominated, but not yet confirmed, for deputy attorney general.

On March 1, 2017, Periera-Ramos and other suspected gang members were allegedly involved in a shooting which claimed the life of one man. According to authorities, Periera-Ramos used a firearm in the homicide. On Oct. 1, 2017, Periera-Ramos also participated in an alleged robbery that involved kidnapping a woman.

The former Texas congressman told reporters at a Salem, N.H., campaign stop Thursday night that he thought Democratic rival Sen. Cory Booker’s plan to create a federal gun licensing program "might be too far.” The next morning, he told Manchester, N.H., television station WMUR in an interview that “we should explore that idea.”

I learned from authoritative source that China-US trade talks didn't break down. Both sides think that the talks are constructive and will continue consultations. The two sides agree to meet again in Beijing in the future.

PapaD was smart enough to leave the cash in Europe. The FBI were probably angry at why he didn't have it on him when they arrested him at Dulles.

The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that McGahn was asked within days of the release last month of special counsel's Robert Mueller's report to declare that the president had not taken steps to impede or obstruct the federal Russia probe.
But McGahn rebuffed those efforts, multiple sources told the Journal, saying the former counsel declined because he did not want to weigh in on the totality of the evidence uncovered by Mueller's probe beyond the testimony he had already given to the special counsel.
McGahn's lawyers told the news outlets Friday that the request from White House lawyers had not been perceived as a threat.
