Since December 21, 2018, DHS has released a total of 204,500 border crossers and illegal aliens into the interior of the country, with all of them going to four American communities: San Diego, California; Phoenix, Arizona; El Paso, Texas; and San Antonio, Texas. Four women, all speaking anonymously for fear of reprisal, said they were made aware of attempts to track their cellphones via their IMEI number. The unique ID number can pinpoint a phone virtually anywhere but is rarely used by civilians. The US military uses IMEIs to direct drone strikes. The technique shows how seriously Saudi Arabia takes the escalating numbers of women fleeing its repressive, male-dominated society. Saudi authorities declined to respond to INSIDER's requests for comment...
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at a summit in Kyrgyzstan and reaffirmed Beijing’s willingness to develop ties with the country even as the U.S. placed the blame squarely on Tehran for the attack on two oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz. Xi met with Rouhani privately at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek, Reuters reported. The Chinese leader promised to develop the relationship no matter how the situation changes.

Court records show that Singer, whose credits include "Bohemian Rhapsody," ''Superman Returns" and "The Usual Suspects," continues to deny he assaulted Cesar Sanchez-Guzman or ever attended a party with him on a yacht as it sailed on Lake Union and Lake Washington in Seattle. A trustee who is overseeing Sanchez-Guzman's bankruptcy case filed a motion Wednesday recommending the settlement be approved. The trustee noted that it would be enough money to pay off the $61,000 in creditors' claims against Sanchez-Guzman, pay the costs of administering the case and leave money left over for him.

Huawei, for its part, says that it’s not the one placing the ads on people’s phones... According to Huawei, the ads are stemming from some third-party services or apps, and not from Huawei itself... That said, it doesn’t seem to add up — after all, the ads are being placed in Huawei’s Magazine cycle of wallpapers, and it seems highly coincidental that a number of Huawei phone owners would all experience the same issue on the same day, while those on other phones haven’t run into the problem...
The social media giant released a transparency report that detailed recent efforts to tamp down on the spread of misinformation by insidious actors on its platform. In addition to the Iranian accounts, Twitter suspended four accounts it suspected of being linked to Russia's Internet Research Agency (IRA), 130 fake accounts associated with the Catalan independence movement in Spain and 33 accounts operated by a commercial entity in Venezuela...
The first-ever venture capital firm dedicated to psychedelics just launched. Investors claim it's the "next wave" after the cannabis boom, which has quickly turned into a $50 billion industry. Often thought of as a party drug, a wave of research is finding that in clinical settings, the hallucinogens can be tremendously therapeutic in the way they reshape (self) perception...
The category of drugs has been used with many clinical populations, including people with substance dependencies or mood disorders. Perhaps most poignantly, it's been shown to be a powerful treatment for people facing terminal cancer, research that reveals one of the key mechanisms by which the drugs help people...

A New York based company called Vuzix along with a UAE software company called NNTC, worked together to produce the world's first automatic facial recognition sunglasses for law enforcement. The above video warns that police will have access to a database of at least one million faces.
The iFalcon Face Control Mobile brings face recognition capabilities anywhere, even without the network of CCTV cameras covering every inch of the city. It proves particularly effective in:
Detects people at public events, sports facilities and in other crowded areas: violators, ‘watchlisted’ individuals and missing people
Public surveillance in transportation stations, airports, subway and other transport facilities
Monitoring immigrants and identification of violators and imposters at border customs control
Verification of identity according to ‘white list’
Preventing terrorism, espionage and unauthorized access to sensitive areas
New York eliminated the religious exemption to vaccine requirements for schoolchildren Thursday, as the nation’s worst measles outbreak in decades prompts states to reconsider giving parents ways to opt out of immunization rules.
The Democrat-led Senate and Assembly voted Thursday to repeal the exemption, which allows parents to cite religious beliefs to forego getting their child the vaccines required for school enrollment.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, signed the measure minutes after the final vote. The law takes effect immediately but will give unvaccinated students up to 30 days after they enter a school to show they’ve had the first dose of each required immunization.
Two Roman Catholic priests linked to a former West Virginia bishop's alleged financial improprieties and sexual abuse have done the world a favor by resigning from their posts in the West Virginia diocese.
It appears to be as bad as it sounds. The Post details a long and convoluted history of abuse and mismanagement, including a culture of “fear of retaliation and retribution” that Bransfield personally fostered. And that is on top of the allegations of sexual abuse brought against the disgraced bishop...

HongMeng's launch is still a closely guarded secret by Huawei, but according to CEO Richard Yu, it could happen even before the end of 2019 for the Chinese market, running on smartphones, computers, TVs and cars. HongMeng is rumored to be 60% faster than Android...
