A Tectonic plate is dying below the pacific northwest…
July 29, 2019
A Ph.D. student at the University of California, Berkeley, Hawley is fascinated with the geologic complexities of the Cascadia subduction zone, a giant fault off the coast of the Pacific Northwest. There, the Juan de Fuca tectonic plate plunges under the North American plate, building strain throughout the region and prompting fears of the massive earthquake that could strike when it releases.
Hawley, however, was distracted by a peculiar region below central Oregon where it appears that a chunk of the Juan de Fuca plate is missing. He wasn’t the first to notice this gap, but it nagged at the back of his brain. Such a feature must be affecting the surface—and he wanted to know how. Now, he might finally have an answer. In a study recently published in Geophysical Research Letters, Hawley and his coauthor Richard Allen suggest that the missing piece is not just a hole, but a tear that’s slowly splitting the plate apart at least 93 miles beneath the surface.

Victoria’s Secret Has More Than a Jeffrey Epstein Problem…
July 29, 2019
L Brands’ efforts to distance itself from Epstein may not have been all that clean a break. Epstein at one point had a $1 million investment in MC2 Model Management, according to a sworn deposition by a former company bookkeeper. MC2 is owned by Jean-Luc Brunel, a Frenchman who is alleged in a civil lawsuit to have brought girls as young as age 12 to the U.S. for sexual purposes and provided them to his friends including Epstein. Brunel even visited Epstein when he was first imprisoned in 2008. Victoria’s Secret continued to work with MC2-represented models after Wexner severed ties with Epstein. At least three MC2 models walked in Victoria’s Secret’s 2015 fashion show, and the agency’s models were at auditions in 2017 and 2018.

California shooting suspect identified as Santino William Legan…
July 29, 2019
Santino William Legan, who was shot dead by police Sunday before he could do more damage, posted online about an 1890 racist manifesto, “Might is Right or The Survival of the Fittest.” Its author used the pseudonym Ragnar Redbeard and argued that only strength and violence determined what is morally right. The work, which is filled with misogyny and anti-Semitic rhetoric, is a staple among neo-Nazis.
[...]
Legan was from a family of boxers, coached along with his brothers by their father, Tom. Neighbors said the family converted its garage into a boxing gym and the boys were often seen sparring with each other. “I’m so confused and hurt for the parents to go through this,” said neighbor Elia Scettrini, 65, who lives two doors away and teaches Spanish at Gilroy High School. Scettrini said Legan just graduated from high school and described the family as friendly and polite.Surprised? The Deep State manufactured another "White Supremacist" patsy.
All 62 Freshmen House Democrats Have Raised More Than Their Republican Opponents ahead of the 2020 election so far…
July 29, 2019
The same is true for all 31 Democrats from districts President Donald Trump had won in 2016 and for all 39 Democrats who snatched Republican-held seats last November. In nearly all cases it’s not even close. While there’s overlap among the categories, most of these Democrats’ war chests are multiples of what their leading challengers have garnered. That’s testament to the historic ability of both parties’ incumbents to attract contributions and Democrats’ strategy of aggressively collecting money quickly in hopes of scaring off potential challengers and seizing on the anti-Trump enthusiasm that fueled their House takeover last year .
