El Paso Shooter Posted to Instragram NOT 8Chan…
August 6, 2019
"First of all the El Paso shooter posted on Instagram not 8 gen later someone uploaded a manifesto however that manifesto was not uploaded by the Walmart shooter. I don't know if he wrote it or not, but it was not uploaded by the murderer that is clear, and law enforcement was made aware of this before most people had even heard the horrific news..." - Jim Watkins, owner of 8Chan
Watkins said "the El Paso shooter posted on Instagram, not 8chan," and according to CNET, a spokeswoman for Facebook acknowledged that they have disabled an account tied to the suspected gunman on Saturday but the account hasn't been active in more than a year. On another note, it looks like the manifesto was posted by a troll or planted by disinfo agents on the message board to force an agenda.

Taliban say differences resolved on US troop withdrawal…
August 6, 2019
The United States and the Taliban have resolved differences in peace talks over U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, as well as over insurgent guarantees on cutting ties with other extremist groups, a Taliban official said Tuesday. The development came during U.S.-Taliban talks over the past two days in the Gulf Arab state of Qatar, where the Taliban maintain a political office. The U.S. side did not immediately confirm or provide details of what was resolved but the U.S. envoy reported “excellent progress” in the talks. The Taliban official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss details of the negotiations.

John Brown Gun Clubs (JBGCs) maybe the most prominent. They exist in many states and operate under the banner of a network called Redneck Revolt, a collection a radical leftists and anarchists.

Then there's the Socialist Rifle Association (SRA). This group's logo has a striking similarity to that of the defunct USSR. If nothing else, the SRA is diverse in its own way. According to the New Republic article, "2,000 of its members identify as LGBTQ, and 8 percent are transgender." A certain irony surrounds all these Antifa gun groups. Nikkei says, for example, that the research grant will go toward "a cyborg technology that can replace human bodily functions using robotics or living organisms by 2050."Japan's interest in artificial hibernation touches upon this area too, a notion based on animal hibernation practices that could keep our bodies in stasis and potentially promote longevity.
The government is also particularly interested in automation technologies suitable for agricultural, forestry, construction, and fishery applications, as well as any proposals which will further Japan's goal of recycling waste from industrial applications...
Tel Aviv researchers develop a nano-vaccine for the most aggressive skin cancer…
August 6, 2019
Their innovative approach has so far proven effective in preventing the development of melanoma in mouse models and in treating primary tumors and metastases that result from melanoma. The focus of the research is on a nanoparticle that serves as the basis for the new vaccine... "In our study, we have shown for the first time that it is possible to produce an effective nano-vaccine against melanoma and to sensitize the immune system to immunotherapies." The researchers harnessed tiny particles, about 170 nanometers in size, made of a biodegradable polymer. Within each particle, they "packed" two peptides -- short chains of amino acids, which are expressed in melanoma cells. They then injected the nanoparticles (or "nano-vaccines") into a mouse model bearing melanoma.

Ex-cardinal letters show signs of grooming victims for abuse…
August 6, 2019
At first glance, the handwritten postcards and letters look innocuous, even warm, sometimes signed off by “Uncle T.” or “Your uncle, Father Ted.” But taken in context, the correspondence penned by disgraced ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick to the young men he is accused of sexually abusing or harassing is a window into the way a predator grooms his prey, according to two abuse prevention experts who reviewed it for The Associated Press. Full of flattery, familiarity and boasts about his own power, the letters provide visceral evidence of how a globe-trotting bishop made young, vulnerable men feel special — and then allegedly took advantage of them.

America’s two largest newspaper publishers will merge in an effort to combat declining circulation and plunging advertising revenue, but will still face pressure to cut costs at hundreds of already cash-strapped publications around the country. The $1.4 billion purchase of McLean-based Gannett by GateHouse Media, based in Pittsford, N.Y., will create a conglomerate that will own more than 250 daily newspapers and hundreds of weekly and community papers. The new company will retain the Gannett name and will have publications in 47 states, reaching more than 145 million unique visitors each month.

August 6, 2019
Trump took the step "in light of the continued usurpation of power by Nicolas Maduro and persons affiliated with him, as well as human rights abuses," according to the order... The order affects "all property and interests in property of the Government of Venezuela that are in the United States, that hereafter come within the United States, or that are or hereafter come within the possession or control of any United States person." These assets "are blocked and may not be transferred, paid, exported, withdrawn, or otherwise dealt in," the order said. The measure also bars transactions with Venezuelan authorities whose assets are blocked. It prohibits "the making of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services by, to, or for the benefit of any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order," as well as "the receipt of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services from any such person."
