Chicago Democrat accused of bribing senator for bill support
October 28, 2019
An Illinois state lawmaker bribed a legislative colleague with an offer of $2,500 a month in exchange for the state senator’s support of sweepstakes-related legislation, according to a federal complaint unsealed on Monday. Rep. Luis Arroyo, 65, made the offer on Aug. 2 and handed over an initial check on Aug. 22 for the unidentified lawmaker’s backing of the legislation in the Illinois Senate, the complaint says. The Chicago Democrat’s alleged willingness to arrange regular payments for legislative support stands out even in a state with a history of brazen public corruption.

Facebook And Google Indexing Your Firearm Serial Numbers…
October 28, 2019
Earlier today, the automotive website Jalopnik published a story showing how license plate numbers are evidently scanned using optical character recognition (OCR) on Google images, allowing them to be searchable using text queries. Using the OCR hypothesis, TFB wondered if this image data mining technique might be able to be used to search for firearm serial numbers. Using images posted previously on TFB with serial numbers displayed on firearms, we tested the serial number search technique. As you can see from the results
below[above], firearm serial numbers are in fact part of this apparent large-scale data mining operation by companies like Google and Facebook.OANN retracts story that Lisa Page had an affair with Andrew McCabe…

Fox News has learned the vote will take place Thursday on the House floor... Pelosi made clear in her letter they are holding the vote because of the Republican complaints.

Mexico City investigates 42 skulls in drug lair…
October 28, 2019
The mound of skulls was piled around what appeared to be an altar of an Afro-Caribbean religion. Mexico City prosecutors said Monday that another 40 jaw bones found in the jumbled pile around the altar do not appear to belong to the 42 complete skulls. In addition, 31 “long” bones, probably from arms or legs, were also found.
Acording to 24-horas.mx:
The altar where the 42 skulls were found in the lair of Oscar N. alias El Lunares, allegedly belongs to the cult known as Palo Mayombe, of African origin, which is performed to, according to belief, obtain the protection of spirits (which supposedly they are tied to pots with human remains, earth, sticks and other objects) for those who perform the correct rituals. On the other side, on one of the walls, was an image of Baphomet (half human, half goat), considered a Satanist symbol, along with a pyramid and representations of the lunar cycle.

Pope declares Vatican’s Secret Archive not so secret anymore…
October 28, 2019
Francis on Monday officially changed the name of the Holy See archive to remove what he said were the "negative" connotations of having "secret" in its name. From now on, the vast trove of documents, manuscripts and papyrus of popes past will be officially known as the "Vatican Apostolic Archive." In a new law, Francis noted that the archive has long been open to scholars and that he himself has decreed that the archives of World War II-era Pope Pius XII, accused by some of not speaking out enough about the Holocaust, would open to researchers ahead of schedule on March 2, 2020.
