... noting that Pennsylvania state law forbids municipalities from regulating firearms. Pittsburgh’s trio of gun ordinances violate state law and are therefore “void and unenforceable,” Allegheny County Judge Joseph James ruled. State law has long prohibited municipalities from regulating the ownership or possession of guns or ammunition, and Pennsylvania courts have thrown out previous municipal attempts at regulation.
U.S. election law prohibits foreign nationals from making those sorts of political contributions. But the donations Sheikh Mohammed Al Rahbani tried to send to Obama’s inaugural committee were funneled through a seasoned straw donor, the records and the AP analysis show.
That intermediary, Imaad Zuberi, agreed this month to plead guilty to making illegal campaign contributions to several American political candidates on behalf of foreign nationals. He is also set to plead guilty to concealing his work as a foreign agent as he lobbied high-level U.S. government officials...
Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, told House impeachment investigators on Tuesday that the White House transcript of a July call between President Trump and Ukraine’s president omitted crucial words and phrases, and that his attempts to include them failed, according to three people familiar with the testimony. The omissions, Colonel Vindman said, included Mr. Trump’s assertion that there were recordings of former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. discussing Ukraine corruption, and an explicit mention by Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, of Burisma Holdings, the energy company whose board employed Mr. Biden’s son Hunter.
Was Vindman even on the call? Trump said this morning, even before the testimony, that it was not possible:
Supposedly, according to the Corrupt Media, the Ukraine call “concerned” today’s Never Trumper witness. Was he on the same call that I was? Can’t be possible! Please ask him to read the Transcript of the call. Witch Hunt!

U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell on Friday ordered President Donald Trump’s administration to hand over by Wednesday a copy of the Mueller report that included material that had been blacked out. The Justice Department requested the stay by the Court of Appeals in Washington while it appeals Howell’s ruling.
The hacking spree targeted journalists, diplomats, human rights activists, political dissidents, senior government officials and others, Facebook said in its lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in San Francisco.
Did you know? NSO employs people from Unit 8200 - Israel's version of the US's National Security Agency - Mossad, and Israel's national intelligence agency. The NSO Group are also notoriously secretive. The Israeli firm sells sophisticated hacking tools to governments, militaries, and intelligence agencies — and it tries to keep such a low profile that it even changes its name regularly.

[...] Misfud has no connection to the defendant's communications with the Russian Ambassador in December 2016, or to the defendant's work on behalf of the Republic of Turkey, and the defendant offers no argument or facts to the contrary... Accordingly, at this time, the government is not aware of any information pertaining to the defendant's motion that are even relevant to the defendant's false statements to the FBI on January 24, 2017, or to his punishment. And, thus, the defendant's motion should be denied.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Alabama and Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates sued the state declaring the law, which bans nearly all abortions included in the cases of rape and incest, is unconstitutional. “The court is persuaded that the plaintiffs are likely to succeed in showing that the Act violates an individual’s constitutional right to obtain a pre-viability abortion, and thus that it violates her constitutional rights,” Thompson said in his order for a preliminary injunction.
Although we should always take peoples claims with a grain of salt, it's important to note that Greg Rubini's credibility has been endorsed by some major figures investigating Spygate, such as Flynn's lawyer, Sidney Powell, Tony Shaffer, and more. He's also a regular contributor of research to accomplished Twitter sleuths Techno Fog and Roscoe B. Davis.
This doesn't mean he is always right, but it seems his 'sources' have proven to be somewhat reliable.
The measure passed 403-16, with 176 Republicans voting in support and just 15 opposing the bill. The sanctions offer a rare bipartisan rebuke of President Trump's policies while underscoring the growing divide between Congress and a NATO ally.
The sanctions bill, dubbed the Protect Against Conflict by Turkey Act, would impose financial and visa penalties on officials connected to Turkey’s offensive in Syria, including the defense minister, the chief of the general staff of the Turkish armed forces and the finance minister, as well as sanction the state-owned bank Halkbank.
This is a legal trick Pelose and co are playing. This is a House vote to authorize an "impeachment inquiry", not an "impeachment investigation". By voting for an impeachment inquiry, this removes certain rights from the House minority. In order to accomplish this, Pelosi and Schiff needed the media behind them in order to pierce through some constitutional blockades.
It seems to allow Republicans to subpoena witnesses and materials related to their inquiries - which Democrats have the right to decline. If that happens, Republicans can appeal to the committee to hold a vote - which should be predictable given Democratic control of the House.
So, while this diminishes Republican claims that they are being denied due process, Democrats will ultimately control who testifies, and what can be subpoenaed.

U.S. District Judge Stephen Wilson ruled on Monday that a jury will have to decide whether or not Musk was negligent for failing to check the accuracy of his statements before he made them to his over 20 million Twitter followers and a journalist, according to the LA Times... This means that Unsworth will only have to convince the jury by a preponderance of the evidence, rather than clear and convincing evidence, making it easier for the panel to find Musk liable for defamation, Wood said...
Rev. Robert E. Morey told the Florence Morning News he had no choice but to refuse the sacrament to the former vice president. “Sadly, this past Sunday, I had to refuse Holy Communion to former Vice President Joe Biden,” said Morey, pastor at St. Anthony Catholic Church. “Holy Communion signifies we are one with God, each other and the Church. Our actions should reflect that. Any public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of Church teaching.”
