A North Dakota county commission that recently voted to limit the number of refugees it will accept may let voters decide the issue in the future. Burleigh County Commission Chairman Brian Bitner said the five-member panel will discuss a potential ballot question Monday night “relating to the future resettlement of refugees.”
The non-binding resolution passed Sunday demanded an end to foreign military presence in the country, with the aim of forcing the U.S. to withdraw 5,000 troops, according to The Associated Press. It declared an "achievement of victory" in stopping the Islamic State's advancement in the country and ended its "request for assistance" from the U.S. in the fight.
Trump, according to the survey, beats Warren by nine percentage points, 51 percent to 42 percent. Sanders, who is in second place nationally, performs slightly better against the president but still falls short, with 44 percent support to Trump’s 49 percent. Trump also leads former Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D) by four points – 49 percent to 44 percent.
Former Vice President Joe Biden fared the best of all the with 47 percent to 45 percent in the hypothetical matchup. However, eight percent of voters say they are undecided.
