The loss in audience is coming from primarily from younger viewers. The Adults 18-49 rating for the five prominent award shows all recorded at or near record lows. Similar to virtually every other entertainment program on broadcast television, the median age of the awards show viewer is now in the 50s and getting older with each passing season.

Phages and other viruses are not considered living organisms because they can't carry out biological processes without the help and cellular machinery of another organism.
