The leader of a libertarian-leaning tech group is stepping down as its president after tweeting that it would be “poetic justice” if President Donald Trump died from the coronavirus, the group confirmed Friday. Berin Szóka, president of Washington-based think tank TechFreedom, will be taking an indefinite sabbatical to write a book on tech policy, as first reported by POLITICO earlier Friday.

Federal prosecutors in Boston say that David Sidoo, a Vancouver energy executive and former player in the Canadian Football League, paid $200,000 to have someone secretly take the college entrance exam in place of his two sons. Sidoo, 60, pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit wire and mail fraud under a plea agreement that calls for him to serve a 90-day prison sentence and pay a $250,000 fine.

This is the lowest finding since October after confidence had spiked to a five-year high in January.
