The BBC also removed episodes of “Little Britain,” a comedy series that featured a character in blackface, from its streaming service.

The telephone poll surveyed the views of 1,309 Americans, including 454 Democrats, 331 Republicans, and 524 independents. While serving a life sentence for murder, she escaped prison in 1979 and resurfaced in Cuba where she was granted political asylum.
