Daytime shootings more than double in New York City – Videos from this weekend show De Blasio’s NYC in Action

Daytime shootings more than double in New York City
New York City criminals can no longer wait for the cover of night to carry out their violent crimes. The number of shootings during daylight hours more than doubled in the last three months compared to the same time frame in 2019, and Mayor Bill de Blasio just doesn’t seem to care.

Earlier in August, Fox News report revealed that the city “saw more than double the daytime shootings — those that occurred between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. — from May 1 through July 31 than it did during the same period last year.

New York Police Department statistics show a nearly 137% increase in the number of shootings that occurred over the three-month period specifically during the daylight hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. From May through July 2020, 168 incidents were reported, while during the same time period in 2019 the number of shootings reported was 71, according to data obtained by Fox News.

Statistics now show that the number of victims from daytime shootings over the three-months increased from 85 in 2019, to 192 in 2020.

We’re pretty sure the numbers will only continue to rise. Here’s some highlights from Mayor Bill de Blasio’s and Governor Cuomo’s New York over this past weekend alone:
