F-16 Jet Intercepted Unknown Plane at Trump Rally…
The crowd at today’s Trump rally were in for a surprise as NORAD sent out an F-16 to intercept a non-responsive aircraft in a Temporary Flight Restriction area.
You can see Trump realize what happened after the crowd begins chanting and he readjusts his coat. He did a good job of keeping everyone calm and just going with it. There’s a good chance that some people in the crowd knew what a scramble looks like. Scary.
For those curious, a flare or decoy flare is an aerial infrared countermeasure used by a plane or helicopter to counter an infrared homing (“heat-seeking”) surface-to-air missile or air-to-air missile.

(2/2) The violating aircraft was non-responsive to initial intercept procedures, but established radio communications after NORAD aircraft deployed signal flares. The aircraft was escorted out of the restricted area by the NORAD aircraft without further incident. #WeHaveTheWatch
