Last November, GOA uncovered internal documents from ATF suggesting that the Biden administration was processing commercial gun sale records. We now know that this partial gun registry is not only much larger in size, but also about 90% digitized, making it easy to search and target gun owners.

While the ATF claims that these records are intended to help local law enforcement solve crimes, they openly admit that they’re unlikely to do so. Especially as President Biden continues to push for new gun control measures, we know that it is likely that this database will be used to pave the way for future gun confiscation.
