WHO Considers Emergency Decree & Trump Admin Appoints Task Force As Death Toll Hits 170
January 30, 2020
President Donald Trump appointed a task force to coordinate the U.S. response to the coronavirus outbreak. The task force will be led by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, said White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham in a statement. Other figures include Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien... Developments over the past week may push the World Health Organization to issue a global alert over the coronavirus, after the agency last week stopped short of calling it a health emergency, according to a public health specialist... WHO’s emergency committee meets later Thursday, said Raina MacIntyre, a professor of global biosecurity at the University of New South Wales in Sydney.

Elizabeth Warren Proposes Criminal Penalties For Anyone Who Spreads ‘Disinformation’ Online…
January 29, 2020
Disinformation and online foreign interference erode our democracy, and Donald Trump has invited both. Anyone who seeks to challenge and defeat Donald Trump in the 2020 election must be fully prepared to take this on—and I've got a plan to do it. https://t.co/ZQ6B1AezBd
— Elizabeth Warren (@ewarren) January 29, 2020
The plan, like most of Warren’s plans, is expansive, and involves forcing social media platforms like Facebook to “label” and approve content before its allowed to spread on social media — essentially giving them the editorial power of prior restraint on news organizations... Most importantly, though, Warren would “push to create civil and criminal penalties for knowingly disseminating false information about when and how to vote in U.S. elections,” and put a national security expert in charge of sniffing out and punishing those who spread such information, essentially creating a national “bureau of truth.”

When the voters clarified that he had not stipulated which member of the first family he was referring to, Biden asserted he meant the former president, since he had other plans for the former first lady. “Well, I sure would like Michelle to be the vice president,” Biden said to laughter from the crowd. “They’re both incredibly qualified people. I mean and they’re such decent honorable people.”...

3 Philippines-based church Leaders arrested in Los Angeles human trafficking Sting…
January 29, 2020
... prosecutors said was a decades-long scheme to trick followers into becoming fundraisers and arrange sham marriages to keep them in the U.S... Workers who managed to escape from the church told the FBI that they had been sent across the U.S. to work long hours soliciting donations for the church’s charity and were beaten and psychologically abused if they didn't make daily quotas... Between 2014 and the middle of last year, $20 million was sent back to the church in the Philippines, the FBI said.
The immigrants essentially became slaves for the church, who sometimes called them “miracle workers” on a crusade to raise money for the nonprofit Children’s Joy Foundation USA to benefit poor children in the Philippines. In reality, most of the money they raised used for lavish lifestyle of church's self appointed "Son of God" Apollo Quiboloy. Quiboloy's religious group was also the focus of a human trafficking operation in Hawaii last year.
