HBO Max has temporarily removed “Gone With the Wind” from its streaming library in order to add historical context to the 1939 film long criticized for romanticizing slavery and the Civil War-era South... On Tuesday, the Paramount Network dropped the long-running reality series “Cops” after 33 seasons. The BBC also removed episodes of “Little Britain,” a comedy series that featured a character in blackface, from its streaming service.
'Gone With The Wind' supporting actress Hattie McDaniel was the first black actress to be nominated or win an Oscar.

The telephone poll surveyed the views of 1,309 Americans, including 454 Democrats, 331 Republicans, and 524 independents. The results indicated that, while 43 percent of participants said abortion should be “generally available,” 55 percent said the procedure should be restricted or completely banned, including 31 percent who said it should be “available but under limits,” and 24 percent who said it “should not be permitted” at all.

"This loving refrain from Assata Shakur still rings true as I shelter-in-place: 'It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains.'"
Assata Shakur, also known as Joanne Chesimard, is on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorists list. She was a member of the Black Liberation Army, who partnered with the Weather Underground to commit acts of domestic terrorism. While serving a life sentence for murder, she escaped prison in 1979 and resurfaced in Cuba where she was granted political asylum.
