What's that? "In 2017 there were 1,255 deaths due to influenza, recording a standardized death rate of 3.9 per 100,000 persons. This is a significant increase from 2016 where 464 influenza deaths were recorded"

In 2017, Australian deaths from influenza nearly tripled year-over-year to a level significantly higher than current covid-related fatalities. What was the response then? How many schools closed, shops closed, events cancelled, lives halted, lockdowns imposed?
