During a visit to India on Monday, President Donald Trump addressed a crowd of over 100,000 people in Ahmedabad town. “America loves India, America respects India, and America will always be faithful and loyal friends to the Indian people,” President Trump told a cheering crowd in India’s Motera cricket stadium that held more than 100,000 people.

“From this day on, India will always hold a very special place in our hearts,” Trump said. He also referred to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “a man I am proud to call my true friend.”

“Both of us understand that when leaders put their citizens first, we can forge strong and fair partnerships to build a safer and more prosperous world,” Trump said.

The president also acknowledged the accomplishments and heritage of 4 million Indians that have immigrated to the United States., saying, “They are truly spectacular people.”
