Desantis Signs ‘Tax Holidays’ Into Law, Including July ‘Freedom Week’…

From Orlando Sentential:

HB 7061 includes sales tax holidays on back-to-school and hurricane preparedness items that Floridians are used to, but it also has a sales tax holiday for outdoor recreation goods and tickets to sports and cultural events.

DeSantis and lawmakers who pushed the new measure through the Legislature last month call it “Freedom Week,” and it will last from July 1-7.

During Freedom Week, consumers who buy tickets or annual passes to concerts, sports events, museums, ballets, theaters, plays, musicals, fairs, festivals and cultural events scheduled before Dec. 31 won’t have to pay sales tax.
