Clashes Erupt on Greece-Turkey Border as Migrants Continue To Seek Entry. Witnesses Claim Greek Orthodox Church Also Destroyed by Migrants on Island of Lesbos…
Greek authorities continue to hold the line after repeated attacks on their borders from aggressive migrants and Turkish provocateurs.
Tear gas and stun grenades were used Wednesday morning by Greek authorities who were trying to push back aggressive migrants trying to cross the border from Turkey. While Greece was trying to repel migrants in the north, the islands were busy with a separate wave of migrants headed by rubber dinghies.
The Greek government called the latest wave a direct threat to Greece’s national security and has promised to carry out approprate measures that include swift deportations while freezing applications of asylum seekers.
Some of the latest scenes coming out of twitter shows citizens taking matters into their own hands:

The situation on the island of Lesbos remains tense as locals claim a group of migrants, who live at the nearby refugee camp, vandalized the small church of Saint George.
The prime minister of Greece has vowed to continue securing the borders despite Turkish aggression:
My duty is to protect the sovereignty of my own country. At the same time, Greece is also doing Europe a great service. The borders of Greece are the external borders of the European Union. We will protect them. 🇬🇷🇪🇺 pic.twitter.com/jdh3hOOmhf
