The Boston mother found dead with her two young children at the bottom of a parking garage in what authorities said was very likely a double murder-suicide was an Ivy League graduate and an executive at a prominent Cambridge biotechnology firm.

Searchers have called off looking for the seventh person on board due to fog, but believe there were no survivors of the crash on the island of Kauai — where the aircraft was scheduled to tour on Thursday... The chopper had one pilot and six passengers aboard. Two of the passengers are reportedly children.

Haspel was briefed on Downer’s outreach to the embassy, according to a person familiar with the matter, but it’s unclear whether she was then made aware of the FBI’s plans to interview him or knew about the bureau’s use of an informant — University of Cambridge professor Stefan Halper — in London.

U.S. District Judge Loretta Biggs issued the brief written notice Thursday evening, explaining that the announcement was specifically timed to prevent a statewide mailer from being sent out in the next few days, according to local media outlet WRAL.
