Secret Service interviewed Tom Arnold about provocative Trump tweets…
November 26, 2018
Arnold had challenged President Trump to a fight after the president praised Rep. Greg Gianforte, R-Mont., last month for body-slamming a reporter during the 2017 special election campaign in Montana. “I say put up or shut up @realDonaldTrump Me vs You. For America. First body slam wins. Any Rally. Any Time. Between now & the midterms,” Arnold wrote Oct. 19.
In a subsequent tweet, that has since been deleted, Arnold invoked comedian Kathy Griffin’s controversial photo shoot in which she held a fake severed head that resembled Trump. “Next time Kathy won’t be holding his fake head!” the deleted tweet said.
Days later, on Oct. 25, two Secret Service agents visited Arnold at his home to question him about the tweets.

LinkedIn violated data protection by using 18M email addresses of non-members to buy targeted ads on Facebook…
November 26, 2018
In short: in a bid to get more people to sign up to the service, LinkedIn admitted that it was using people’s email addresses — some 18 million in all — in a way that was not transparent. LinkedIn has since ceased the practice as a result of the investigation.
There were two parts to the supervision, as the DPC describes it:
First, the DPC found that LinkedIn in the US had obtained emails for 18 million people who were not already members of the social network, and then used these in a hashed form for targeted advertisements on the Facebook platform, “with the absence of instruction from the data controller” — that is, LinkedIn Ireland — “as is required.”

It could be anything from cigarette sales taxes to employee withholding taxes, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal, which first noted the initiative.

If true, it would be a profound leap of science and ethics.
A US scientist said he took part in the work in China, but this kind of gene editing is banned in the United States because the DNA changes can pass to future generations and it risks harming other genes.
