December 24, 2018
Saudi Arabia has now agreed to spend the necessary money needed to help rebuild Syria, instead of the United States. See? Isn’t it nice when immensely wealthy countries help rebuild their neighbors rather than a Great Country, the U.S., that is 5000 miles away. Thanks to Saudi A!

And according to a newly released video from NASA astronaut Drew Feustel, one of those symptoms is being unable to walk a straight line with your eyes closed.
Supreme Court halts fines against mystery company possibly linked to Mueller investigation…
December 24, 2018
Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts issued a temporary administrative stay of contempt sanctions that have been brought against an unknown company in a mysterious grand jury subpoena fight thought to be linked to special counsel Robert Mueller.
The move is a fairly procedural one, and gives the federal government until Dec. 31 to respond. Roberts, or all of the Supreme Court, could easily decide to lift the stay even before then, depending on how soon as it hears from the federal government.
Walmart patents a system for listening to every sound in stores…
December 23, 2018
Walmart’s latest patent is a device that eavesdrops on employees and customers alike, hearing every interaction, plastic bag rustle, and register noise — and it’s evaluating.
[...]
But Walmart’s patent is vaguely open-ended and includes a notification that the system could be altered in any number of ways, including to listen in on shopping activity throughout the store. It just seems like there's no escape. They're collecting a massive database of biometric data. I wonder if IR and other Jammers will finally be a thing.

China passes Japan to become UN’s No. 2 contributor…
December 23, 2018
The General Assembly on Saturday adopted a resolution increasing the Chinese contribution to 12.005% for 2019 to 2021, up from 7.921% for 2016 to 2018, owing to its rapid economic growth. Slower-growing Japan's share shrank to 8.564% from 9.68%. The U.S. will still pay the maximum possible 22% -- a cap left in place following discussions within the U.N. on removing it.
Looks like China will be left picking up the tab for the NWO.
A feminist scholar claims that Newtonian physics is oppressive and that we must use “quantum feminisms”
December 23, 2018
In a paper for The Minnesota Review, culture and gender-studies researcher Whitney Stark argues that Newton’s understanding of physics is oppressive because it has “separated beings” based on their “binary and absolute differences” — a structure that she calls “hierarchical and exploitative” — and the same kind of system is “embedded in many structures of classification,” making it “part of the apparatus that enables oppression.” Stark explains:
This structural thinking of individualized separatism with binary and absolute differences as the basis for how the universe works seeped into/poured over/ is embedded in many structures of classification, which understand similarity and difference in the world, imposed in many hierarchical and exploitative organizational structures, whether through gender, life/nonlife, national borders, and so on.

December 24, 2018
Kevin Spacey shared a bizarre video of himself Monday as his Frank Underwood character from Netflix's "House of Cards" after authorities announced he faces a felony charge for allegedly sexually assaulting the teenage son of former WCVB news anchor Heather Unruh at a Nantucket bar in July 2016.
The Boston Globe was the first to report that Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe said the actor will be arraigned on a charge of indecent assault and battery on Jan. 7, 2019, at Nantucket District Court.
A lawyer for Spacey did not immediately return Fox News' request for comment. However, as the news broke, the actor shared a video of himself on YouTube titled, "Let Me Be Frank."
NYT Reporters Advocate Tracking Gun Purchases Made With Credit Cards…
December 24, 2018
The NYT piece, authored by Andrew Ross Sorkin, noted that a number of mass shooters purchased their weapons and ammo using credit cards. Banks are required to alert federal authorities to purchases exceeding $10,000, but there are rules preventing them from seeing precisely what goods users are purchasing.
Nonetheless, NYT’s Sorkin suggests that banks track purchases at sporting goods stores and gun shops and prevent cardholders from purchasing multiple firearms “in a short period of time” and report unusual spending patterns.
North Korea must pay $501 million to Otto Warmbier’s parents, judge rules…
December 24, 2018
An American judge has ruled that Kim Jong Un’s North Korean regime must pay $501 million to the parents of Otto Warmbier after their son died following his time spent in captivity there.
The ruling Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia is largely symbolic, though, as it is unlikely North Korea hands over any cash. It comes after Warmbier’s parents sued the Hermit Kingdom for more than $1 billion.

FDA Cracks Down on Purveyors of Stem Cell Treatments…
December 23, 2018
“The FDA is committed to advancing the field of cell-based regenerative medicine. We’re implementing new policies to make it more efficient to safely develop these promising new technologies,” FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb says in the press release. “At the same time, we’re also focusing more resources on enforcement when we see companies skirt safety measures and put patients at risk. In this case, the company’s failure to put in place appropriate safeguards may have led to serious blood infections in patients.”
In the release, the FDA says it is sending letters to other stem cell companies to remind them of their responsibilities to comply with federal regulations.
“We’re focused on outfits that may be engaging in unsafe practices and haven’t been working with F.D.A. to come into compliance with the laws they’re subject to. Unfortunately, there are too many firms that fit this description,” Gottlieb tells The New York Times.

December 23, 2018
According to a report released last month by a group of distinguished China scholars, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) uses vague threats to induce US professors and students to avoid topics that might offend Chinese government sensitivities—research or discussions on Tibet, Taiwan, Xinjiang, human rights, and Chinese politics, for example. It denies visas to scholars who criticize the regime, uses Chinese students in the US to inform on one another, and punishes universities for hosting controversial speakers.
