Judge rules Missouri Planned Parenthood clinic cannot offer abortions…
February 26, 2019
U.S. Western District Judge Brian Wimes ruled last Friday that the state's restriction for clinics giving abortions were not an “undue” burden for women seeking them, according to The Associated Press.
The ruling came just months after Planned Parenthood Great Plains, which manages a facility in Columbia, Mo., filed an injunction in an attempt to begin offering abortions again, The Columbia Missourian reported. The facility has operated without those privileges because it doesn't meet state mandates requiring clinics to have physicians with admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.Murkowski to vote for resolution blocking Trump’s emergency declaration…

Hell freezes over! Jon Stewart Praises Trump justice department!…
February 26, 2019
Jon Stewart is witnessing the creature he created snowball into mass lunacy as it smashes the country apart. Now he's stuck between that same machine and 5000 genders. The side of good he was fighting for no longer exists from his vantage point. He definitely appears to have been taking some red pills as of late. There may be hope just yet for more of the left to wake up.

February 26, 2019
Asked if she will demand the president face impeachment upon taking office, Omar replied: “If [special counsel Robert Mueller’s] report comes out and we keep having the breaking headlines every single day, I’m pretty sure that [impeachment] is going to call for itself.”
Omar and fellow freshman congresswoman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) defended Tlaib’s profanity-laced pledge to impeach the president on Showtime’s late-night talk show Desus & Mero last Thursday.
“I hit up Rashida. I sent her a text, and I was like, ‘Don’t worry about it. Who cares?’” Ocasio-Cortez told the comedians.

On Feb. 14, Martin arranged to meet the undercover detective at a location in Utah County. During this contact, detectives interviewed Martin and he admitted the information he discussed in the two previous social media contacts regarding his desired actions with the 12- and 6-year-old girls.
“During their investigation detectives found that Martin was in possession of video recordings of extremely graphic child pornography involving very young children and infants,” the news release said. “Because of the quantity and nature of this material, detectives will refer portions of their investigation for possible federal charges.”

February 26, 2019
The House voted on Tuesday to overturn President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency on the Mexican border, with more than a dozen Republicans joining Democrats to try to block his effort to divert funding to a border wall without congressional approval.
The resolution of disapproval, approved 245-182, must now be taken up by the Senate, where three Republicans have already declared their support, only one short of the number needed for Congress to ratify a stinging rebuke of Mr. Trump’s efforts.
Democrat Andrew Cuomo Signs Gun Confiscation into Law in NY…
February 26, 2019
The “red flag” law, as it’s called, takes effect in 180 days.
The Legislature overwhelmingly passed the measure, along with other gun control initiatives, in late January. The other bills – including changes to the gun purchase background check process, bans on bump stock devices and from teachers being able to possess weapons on school grounds – have not yet been acted upon by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.

Cuomo was joined at a signing ceremony for the red flag bill by U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as well as various gun control advocates, including Linda Beigel Schulman, a Long Island woman whose son, slain schoolteacher Scott Beigel, was among the students and staff killed last year at Florida’s Parkland school mass shooting.Woman who attacked man wearing ‘MAGA’ hat was illegal immigrant, taken into ICE custody…

February 26, 2019
The most persistent thrust in President Trump’s policymaking during his two years in office is that Washington is done dealing with overseas partners who don’t contribute to the security and prosperity of America. The president’s efforts to change the disastrous global status quo he believes he inherited have had wrenching effects, but he deeply believes in what he is doing, so he will keep doing it.
What that means is that at the end of eight years, the framework of institutions we have come to associate with the postwar world order will have withered. NATO will be increasingly fragile because most of its members won’t begin to match the commitment of military resources Trump is demanding. The free trade regime fashioned under the WTO will have given way to managed trade that better supports U.S. economic aspirations. And having a democratic government will no longer be the price of admission to close relations with Washington. Donald Trump is a change agent in ways that even many of his supporters don’t fully grasp, and a second term would bring his most cherished goals close to fruition.

February 26, 2019
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a framework to fix New York City's "death spiraling" subway system that needs some $40 billion in improvements.
The new plan will feature congestion pricing, higher tolls with increases locked in at no more than 2% per year, and a promise that the city and state will work together to combat people who evade fares.
The city will also install electronic toll collection devices around the perimeter of the Central Business District (CBD), defined as the streets south of 61st St. in Manhattan.

Ivanka Trump challenges Ocasio-Cortez platform, says Americans don’t want ‘guaranteed minimum’…
February 26, 2019
“You’ve got people who will see that offer from the Democrats, from the progressive Democrats, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: ‘Here’s the Green New Deal, here’s the guarantee of a job,’ and think, ‘yeah, that’s what I want, it’s that simple.’ What do you say to those people?” Hilton asked Ivanka Trump in the interview set to air in full on Sunday.
“I don’t think most Americans, in their heart, want to be given something. I’ve spent a lot of time traveling around this country over the last 4 years. People want to work for what they get,” Trump told Hilton. “So, I think that this idea of a guaranteed minimum is not something most people want. They want the ability to be able to secure a job. They want the ability to live in a country where’s there’s the potential for upward mobility.”
Amtrak train with 183 passengers on board has been stranded in Oregon since Sunday…
February 26, 2019
Amtrak’s Coast Starlight train left Seattle for Los Angeles early Sunday but hit a tree in Oakridge, Oregon, about 6:20 p.m. Oakridge is about 45 miles southeast of Eugene.
Union Pacific spokesman Tim McMahan says crews are clearing the track and were expected to reach the train by 6 a.m. PST Tuesday. He says the train will move back to Eugene and Portland.
Amtrak made the decision to keep passengers on the train because electricity is out in Oakridge. Amtrak says there is ample food on board.
