Thursday on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, suggested imprisonment for officials in the Trump administration that did not comply with congressional subpoenas. Cicilline argued there was a precedent for such action.

The Washington Post, citing a Twitter source, reported that Dorsey told Omar in a phone call earlier this week that the president's tweet did not violate the company's rules. Dorsey reportedly made the comment after Omar pressed him on why the company didn't move to remove the tweet from the site, a person familiar with the conversation told the newspaper.

According to the indictment, Erika Paola Intriago, 44, of Tampa, who is not a licensed attorney, fraudulently portrayed herself as an immigration attorney offering immigration-related services on social media targeting persons from Spanish-speaking countries seeking immigration-related services.

Victims retained and paid Intriago to represent them in immigration-related matters before USCIS and other agencies. Intriago is accused of then creating fraudulent letters, emails, receipts, documents, and communications to send her victims to falsely portray the records as legitimate communications with U.S. government agencies when in fact she never filed or completed the necessary immigration paperwork for which she was paid.

Judge Stanley Bastian, an Obama appointee, granted a nationwide preliminary injunction Tuesday after hearing arguments in a suit challenging the changes.

The changes to the Title X family planning program, scheduled to go in effect May 3, would have banned providers receiving the grants from referring women for abortions. The rule issued by the administration also would have lifted a requirement that clinics counsel women on abortion as an option.

Citing two people familiar with the situation, the Post reported the envoy signed an agreement to pay the medical bill on instructions from President Trump. However, a source told Fox News the U.S. did not pay money to North Korea. The White House declined to comment, with Press Secretary Sarah Sanders saying in a statement: “We do not comment on hostage negotiations, which is why they have been so successful during this administration.”

... a Border Patrol agent encountered a man walking alone along a desolate road approximately 16 miles west of Valentine. When the agent approached the man, he noticed the man was in possession of a handgun... The man arrested was in possession of the items which were reported stolen by the home owner in Valentine on April 15. After further investigation, it was determined that the man had broken into the Valentine residence agents previously responded to.

The man is a citizen of Mexico illegally present in the United States. He will be charged for illegal entry without inspection by the U.S. Border Patrol, in addition to possession of the stolen handgun and ammunition.

Less than seven months into the fiscal year, the number of undocumented immigrants who have been apprehended or turned themselves in to U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley has already surpassed last year’s total, the agency said Monday.

From October, when the federal government’s fiscal year began, through Sunday, more than 164,000 migrants have been apprehended in the sector, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. During the entire 2018 fiscal year, the sector reported 162,262 apprehensions.
