Free Press? NY Times Admits It Sends Stories To US Government For Approval Before Publication…
June 27, 2019
The New York Times casually acknowledged that it sends major scoops to the US government before publication, to make sure “national security officials” have “no concerns.”... This confirms what veteran New York Times correspondents like James Risen have said:
The American newspaper of record regularly collaborates with the US government, suppressing reporting that top officials don’t want made public.
Indeed, the Times report on the escalating American cyber attacks against Russia is attributed to “current and former [US] government officials. The neoliberal self-declared “Resistance” jumped on Trump’s reckless accusation of treason... But what was entirely overlooked was the most revealing thing in the New York Times’ statement: The newspaper of record was essentially admitting that it has a symbiotic relationship with the US government.
“Accusing the press of treason is dangerous,” the Times communications team said.
“We described the article to the government before publication.”The symbiotic relationship between the US corporate media and the government has been known for some time. American intelligence agencies play the press like a musical instrument, using it it to selectively leak information at opportune moments to push US soft power and advance Washington’s interests.
But rarely is this symbiotic relationship so casually and publicly acknowledged...
Bernstein obtained CIA documents that revealed that more than 400 American journalists in the previous 25 years had “secretly carried out assignments for the Central Intelligence Agency.”...

Chinese Citizens Think It Could Beat America In a War. That’s Dangerous…
June 27, 2019
No less than 87 percent of respondents said that the Chinese military already possessed the capability to take back the Diaoyu/Senkaku Islands from Japan... The numbers were much the same for the South China Sea... Despite the confidence in their country’s military’s capabilities, a slight majority of respondents said they did not want to go to war over disputed islands... The overwhelming belief that the PLA would prevail in a conflict with the United States in the East or South China Seas could make it easier for Chinese leaders to gain support for aggressive policies....

Joint Base Andrews in Maryland recently issued a threat brief regarding "incels": members of an online movement that "adopt an ideology of misogyny, mistrust of women, and violence in response to their failed attempts at romantic relationships," according to Task and Purpose.
The term "incel" is generally defined as: "...members of an online subculture who define themselves as unable to find a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one, a state they describe as inceldom. Self-identified incels are largely white and are almost exclusively male heterosexuals. The term is a portmanteau of "involuntary celibates"."
Another, simpler definition: men who can't get laid...

The Supreme Court's action followed federal court rulings this year in Ohio and Michigan striking down partisan gerrymanders and ordering new maps to be drawn. The justices temporarily blocked those requirements in May, pending their decisions in North Carolina and Maryland.

We Found Evidence of Cocaine Use in the UK House of Commons. Our coke swabs – which turn blue when they detect the drug – picked up traces of coke in four of the nine locations we tested…
June 27, 2019
First up, Norman Shaw North – a building full of MPs' offices. With the help of a friend with a pass, I made my way in and randomly picked a men's bathroom on the third floor. The tests are simple: unseal the pale pink wipe and rub it on your chosen surface; if there are traces of cocaine present, it'll turn blue. The fact the wipe turned blue after I ran it across the surfaces by the taps showed cocaine was clearly present.
Leaving the bathroom, I passed the offices of Stephen Crabb, a Tory MP who was briefly Secretary of State for Work and Pensions in 2016. Of course, plenty of MPs, aides and their visitors will use these toilets – there's no suggestion that what I found had anything to do with Stephen Crabb.
On another floor I dipped into a second bathroom, this time near the office of Michael Fallon MP (again, there's no suggestion that what I found had anything to do with Mr Fallon). A wipe again revealed the presence of cocaine, although this time it was a little less concentrated...

100 Ugandan Babies Dead – NGO Wants U.S. Missionary Prosecuted…
June 27, 2019
Missionary Renee Bach, who runs a local non-governmental organisation called Serving His Children in eastern Uganda, is being accused of representing herself as a doctor, and treating children in her care. She allegedly took children with malnutrition from local hospitals to "treat" them at her organisation - and some of them died... The two women say that they were led to believe that Renee Bach was a medical doctor and that her home was a medical facility as she was often seen wearing a white coat, a stethoscope and often administered medications to children in her care. They say they learned that Bach had no training at all in medicine after their children died. They also found out that in 2015, the District Health Officer had closed her facility and ordered her to not offer any treatment to any children.
Her non-profits' mission claims to help fight malnutrition in Uganda. Her attorney dismisses the claims as false and said there are racist undertones because she's white. Also the attorney said she was always under the supervision of a medical professional. Who to believe? Strange story.⠀Here's more from her side of the story:

June 27, 2019
A Brazilian Air Force pilot, who was one of the crew members on their way to serve as the advance guard for Brazil president Bolsonaro during the forthcoming G20 summit in Osaka, was arrested during a stopover in Seville en route to Japan after Spanish customs officers discovered enough cocaine on him in to fuel a small Wall Street bank's party for a month in what has become an international embarrassment for Jair Bolsonaro, Brazil’s "Trump" and also the country's self-professed law-and-order president.
