According to the newspaper, the Spanish-born biologist Juan Carlos Izpisúa Belmonte, who operates a lab at the Salk Institute in California, has been working working with monkey researchers in China to perform the disturbing research.
Their objective is to create “human-animal chimeras,” in this case monkey embryos to which human cells are added.
Why, why? The idea behind the research is to fashion animals that possess organs, like a kidney or liver, made up entirely of human cells. Such animals could be used as sources of organs for transplantation...
The new "don't eat me" signal is a protein called CD24 exposed on the cell's surface. Its function is indeed to tell our immune system not to eat our own cells and takes part in several processes happening normally in our body. Tumors exploit this property by producing lots and lots of CD24 so that the macrophages (cells that literally eat the bad guys) ignore cancerous cells.
The paper uses monoclonal antibodies (mAb) to block CD24: these antibodies will "hug" all the CD24 and "hide" them from the macrophages view. As a result, the macrophages happily devour the cells in the tumor. The cool thing about mAb is that they can be produced synthetically in the lab.
Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the launches were conducted at 2:59 a.m. and 3:23 a.m. from an eastern coastal area but did not immediately confirm how many projectiles were fired or how far they flew. An official from the JCS, who didn’t want to be named, citing office rules, said more analysis would be required to determine whether the projectiles were ballistic missiles or rocket artillery.
South Korea’s presidential office said chief national security adviser Chung Eui-yong held an emergency meeting with government ministers to discuss the latest launch. Kim Eun-han, a spokesman for South Korea’s Unification Ministry, said the Seoul government expressed “deep regret” over the launches that it believes could negatively affect efforts to stabilize peace on the Korean Peninsula.
The young woman, Saoirse Kennedy Hill, 22, was the daughter of Courtney Kennedy Hill. She was at the compound, where her grandmother, Ethel Kennedy, lives, when emergency responders were called on Thursday afternoon, the family friends said. She was taken to Cape Code Hospital in Hyannis, where she was pronounced dead.
The authorities issued a statement confirming a death at the property but did not disclose the identity of the victim or the cause of death. “Early this afternoon Barnstable police responded to a residence on Marchant Avenue in Hyannis Port for a report of an unattended death,” said Tara Miltimore of the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office. “The matter remains under investigation by the Barnstable police as well as state police detectives assigned to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office.”
A watchdog group has filed a complaint with the IRS for the mishandling of a non-profit organization run by Rep. Elijah Cummings’ wife, Maya according to One America News’ Jack Posobiec. The findings are shocking. According to the report, the nonprofit group was “cutting deals” with special interest groups directly tied to Cummings’ House Oversight Committee.
Maya runs her non-profit “Global Policy Solutions” along with a separate for-profit venture. The watchdog alleges her group “received $6.2 million in grants from various corporate backers including Google, JP Morgan, Prudential & Johnson and Johnson.”
The Pentagon is preparing to withdraw thousands of troops from Afghanistan as part of a proposed peace deal with the Taliban, U.S. officials told Fox News Thursday. One official warned the withdrawal would be subject to the completion of any agreement. So far, no such deal has been finalized... The agreement would require the Taliban to broker a peace deal directly with the Afghan government, and give assurances the country won't be used as a launch-pad for international terror attacks.
Do you believe in an elite cabal of untouchable oligarchs guiding the course of history via false flags, perpetual war, and covertly funded militant groups? Do you share these beliefs online? You might just be engaging in domestic terrorism according to the FBI.
[...] Does the Trump-Russia conspiracy theory peddled by leading Democrats and amplified by the MSM for over two straight years count?
Apparently not, as the document singles out QAnon - "a shadowy network that believes in a deep state conspiracy against President Trump, and Pizzagate, the theory that a pedophile ring including Clinton associates was being run out of the basement of a Washington, D.C., pizza restaurant (which didn’t actually have a basement)," according to the report...
What about conspiracy theories that turn out to be true? Between the looming threats posed by 'deepfakes', Russians, Saudis, and conspiracy theories, is anyone safe from anything anymore?...

Up to two decades before people develop the characteristic memory loss and confusion of Alzheimer's disease, damaging clumps of protein start to build up in their brains. Now, a blood test to detect such early brain changes has moved one step closer to clinical use.
Researchers from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis report that they can measure levels of the Alzheimer's protein amyloid beta in the blood and use such levels to predict whether the protein has accumulated in the brain.
The inquiry from the district attorney’s office, which is in early stages, is examining whether any senior executives at the company filed false business records about the hush money, which would be a state crime, the people said.
NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill tweeted that Steven Larosa, 35, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with obstructing governmental administration and harassment in connection with the July 24th incident... Police in recent days have made numerous arrests in connection to other water dousing incidents targeting officers across New York City. Several incidents were caught on videos that quickly went viral on social media. One of the people arrested – whom police say was wanted for dumping a bucket of water on an officer in Brooklyn – was identified by authorities as a gang member.
Defense Secretary Mark Esper, who assumed his post July 23, is now reviewing accusations of unfairness in the fiercely fought competition, the Pentagon announced Thursday, marking the president's latest incursion into the arcane world of Defense Department contracting. Oracle has reportedly waged an aggressive lobbying campaign to push back on the competition, including talking with members of Congress and preparing a graphic that made its way to the president's desk...
The Justice Department has decided against prosecuting former FBI Director James Comey for leaking classified information following a referral from the department’s inspector general, sources familiar with the deliberations told Fox News. “Everyone at the DOJ involved in the decision said it wasn’t a close call,” one official said. “They all thought this could not be prosecuted”... But one of the key factors leading to the DOJ declining to prosecute apparently was the fact that the two memos were labeled “confidential” after he set in motion the chain of events that led to them ending up with the press. Richman, now serving as an attorney to Comey, told Fox News he had "no comment" on the prosecutorial decision on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fox News has learned that the release of Horowitz’s report is “imminent,” according to another source familiar with the investigation.
