At around 12:50 a.m., officers responded to the report of a disturbance at the Growler's Taproom, located in the 3300 block of Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard. At the scene, officers located Luke Lenzner with injuries to his face. Lenzner told FOX 12 that he and his wife were on a date night. He said right when they got there, they were attacked outside the patio by people upset about the hat. "I got mobbed by everybody that was in that bar outside. People came from the inside out - just circled me and my wife," said Lenzner.

Following an outcry over what many saw as an inadequate statement this weekend in which the queen’s second son sought to downplay and minimize his friendship with Epstein, at one stage calling it a mere “association,” sources at Buckingham Palace on Monday told The Daily Beast, when asked if Andrew would help American police if requested: “Members of the royal family would always cooperate with the police in an appropriate way.” Whilst not exactly an effusive offer to volunteer information, Andrew probably has little choice but to at least appear to be willing to hypothetically cooperate with American police. The FBI is investigating both the charges against Epstein and the circumstances around his death, but have not yet publicly said if they are seeking to interview Prince Andrew.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday he would probably host next year’s Group of Seven summit of the major industrialized countries at one of his own properties - the Trump National Doral golf resort near Miami - but insisted he would not personally profit from the resort’s selection.

Dow futures slumped 200 points early this morning after China denied a call had taken place with Trump's team, which as pointed out earlier, juiced US equity futures 700 Dow points off overnight lows.

Reporter: "Did you mean to say that there was also a call last night [with China] or was there not actually a call?"
Steve Mnuchin: "There were discussions that went back and forth, and let's just leave it at that."

The disgraced media mogul already faced five felony charges: two counts of predatory sexual assault, one count of criminal sexual act in the first degree and one count each of first-degree rape and third-degree rape. Weinstein has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges, and his attorneys have said the acts were consensual. While these are two new charges, prosecutors said that if the judge finds them duplicative of the existing predatory sexual assault charges, then they would want to move forward on the new charges. That would effectively swap out the old predatory sexual assault charges for the new ones. New York State Supreme Court Justice James Burke set a schedule for a briefing on whether or not to drop the old charges. Prosecutors said the case does not change with this new indictment.

A judge Monday found Johnson & Johnson responsible for fueling Oklahoma’s opioid crisis, ordering the health care company to pay $572.1 million to redress the devastating consequences suffered by the state and its residents... With more than 40 states lined up to pursue similar claims against the pharmaceutical industry, the ruling in the first state case to go to trial could influence both side’s strategies in the months and years to come. Its impact on an enormous federal lawsuit brought by nearly 2,000 cities, counties, Native American tribes and others, which is scheduled to begin in October, is less certain.

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo were spotted at the meeting. A White House official attended the meeting in Trump’s stead, according to the White House. “The President had scheduled meetings and bilaterals with Germany and India, so a senior member of the Administration attended in his stead,” the White House informed reporters in a statement. Asked about the missed meeting, Trump replied to reporters, “I want clean air and clean water.”
