Police say the man then made his way out an emergency exit where a firefighter held the man at gunpoint. At that moment Springfield Police arrived on scene and detained the man.

A letter from the lawmakers, addressed to Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray,... the senators decry a "growing" domestic terrorism threat and noted one of the attacks was reportedly carried out by a "white man motivated by racist and anti-immigrant hatred."... A New Britain man contracted flesh-eating bacteria and had to have his leg amputated after swimming at Hammonasset Beach State Park, according to his family. Bruce Kagan, 68, was admitted to The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain on June 30 after he began to feel sick... He had gone swimming at Hammonasset a few days earlier with a cut on his right leg he got while at work. His family believes that is how he contracted the bacteria.

The MSM loves to use these stories as a fear tactic and to push climate change, but every place that reported a case has been in brackish, inland, low salinity waters, and is usually tied to agricultural pollution, such as the red tide caused by the agricultural runoff around Lake Okeechobee in Florida, and the flooding that happened this year, that spilled pollution and agricultural runoff into the Mississippi River which ultimately flows into the Gulf. Even the NOAA has noticed that 3 times as many dolphins are dying on the Gulf coast this year, where most of these cases have occurred. This new case in Connecticut seems to be in an area that has polluted fresh water runoff, low salinity levels and little to no currents. The bacteria that causes this cannot live in high salinity. So if you swim at a beach that has good currents and high salinity you should be fine.

Because of Florida’s warm climate, Vibrio are present in areas of the IRL year-round. V. vulnificus is most likely to be encountered in stagnant, inshore waters (especially near freshwater discharge) rather than in the ocean due to their inability to tolerate high salinities.
