The Justice Department has decided against prosecuting former FBI Director James Comey for leaking classified information following a referral from the department’s inspector general, sources familiar with the deliberations told Fox News. “Everyone at the DOJ involved in the decision said it wasn’t a close call,” one official said. “They all thought this could not be prosecuted”... But one of the key factors leading to the DOJ declining to prosecute apparently was the fact that the two memos were labeled “confidential” after he set in motion the chain of events that led to them ending up with the press. Richman, now serving as an attorney to Comey, told Fox News he had "no comment" on the prosecutorial decision on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fox News has learned that the release of Horowitz’s report is “imminent,” according to another source familiar with the investigation.

The Pentagon has confirmed that it is testing lasers that are able to talk, sending short messages through glass, traveling short distances. Known as The Laser Induced Plasma Effect program, the initiative is part of the Joint Non-lethal Weapons Directorate program, according to a report in the Military Times. Fox News has reached out to the Pentagon with a request for comment for this story. According to a video, the laser would fire a ball of plasma, while another laser takes the plasma and then turns that into soundwaves. If done properly, it could mimic human speech, chief scientist Dave Law told the news outlet. Down the line, the Pentagon hopes to take the technology and use it for other defense operations, including a continuous flash-bang grenade, which produces short, continuous bursts of blinding light and ear-piercing sound. The lasers could heat up a target's skin to an uncomfortable level and not burn them or even give a command such as “Stop or we’ll be forced to fire upon you,” the report adds.

The collision occurred around 20 nautical southeast of Taiwan-controlled Kinmen island off China’s southeast coast, according to a statement from the coast guard. No injuries were reported. The statement identified the Chinese vessel as a People’s Liberation Army warship. The bizarre blue-striped building on Jeffrey Epstein's private Caribbean island was supposed to be a music pavilion with a strikingly different design, according to permit records viewed by NBC News. The building, shaped like a giant box and initially topped with a gold dome, has fueled rampant speculation and online conspiracy theories.

Drawings supplied by Epstein's architects to the U.S. Virgin Islands agency that oversees coastal development show that it was designed to be a haven for music: an octagonal 3,500-square foot pavilion housing a grand piano. Federal agents apprehended a member of Immigration and Custom Enforcement’s Most Wanted List Wednesday who has been on the run for more than two years for his alleged role in operating a large-scale human trafficking and drug operation out of a Detroit motel. Darrick Bell, 50, was arrested at the Econo Lodge, a motel in Monroe, Mich...

Bell, a U.S. citizen, escaped arrest on Jan. 12, 2017 when more than 200 law enforcement personnel descended on the Victoria Inn to break up the operation. Women who lived at the motel were allegedly drugged and forced through coercion, threats and isolation to perform commercial sex acts for the financial benefit of Bell and his associates, ICE said.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo "thinks that the recent violence in Hong Kong is reasonable because everyone knows that this is the work of the U.S.," spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a regular press briefing.
