...federal prosecutors in Manhattan under the US attorney for the southern district of New York — a position that Giuliani himself once held when he effectively destroyed mafia organized crime before becoming mayor of New York - are investigating whether President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani broke lobbying laws in his dealings in Ukraine. The investigators are examining Giuliani’s "efforts to undermine the American ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch" who was recalled in the spring as part of what the NYT states as fact was "Trump’s broader campaign to pressure Ukraine into helping his political prospects", a "fact" which Trump has repeatedly denied...

“Everyone who is illegitimately on the territory of any state, in this case Syria, must leave this territory. This applies to all states,” Putin told state news agencies RT, Arabik Sky News and Al Arabiya in an interview, according to Reuters.

Putin, who is an ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, added that Russian forces in Syria were also ready to leave the country when a new legitimate Syrian government tells Moscow it doesn’t need its help anymore, the outlet reported.

Putin’s comments come as Turkey has waged a military offensive in northern Syria following President Trump’s decision earlier this week to remove U.S. troops from the area...

Turkey’s foreign minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu said that his country was undeterred by bans or embargoes.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said one of the suspects in a Mount Rainier High School student's grisly murder is an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador, who came to the U.S. as an unaccompanied child, and has been arrested and released from jail several times in King County since 2018. ICE said 20-year-old Carlos Iraheta-Vega, who was arrested this week on suspicion of murdering 16-year-old Juan Carlos Con Guzman, has been shielded from immigration enforcement by King County sanctuary policies. Investigators say the teen was hacked, partially dismembered and then dumped in the Green River last month near Auburn. A motive has not yet been released but newly obtained court documents state there was a "mutual fist fight" prior to the murder.

Sixteen Alaska youths in 2017 sued the state, claiming that human-caused greenhouse gas emission leading to climate change is creating long-term, dangerous health effects.

The lawsuit takes aim at a state statute that says it’s the policy of Alaska to promote fossil fuels, said Andrew Welle of Oregon-based Our Children’s Trust, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting natural systems for present and future generations.
