The unnamed space rock designated as Asteroid (66391) 1999 KW4 is a binary system, meaning it's composed of one large asteroid orbited by a smaller moon. The larger half of the duo is nearly a mile (1.5 kilometers) wide, while its smaller satellite is about a third of a mile wide (0.5 kilometers). The asteroid was first discovered 20 years ago, and both backyard and professional astronomers are preparing to observe it as it makes its latest close approach May 25.

According to the subpoenas, Nadler is seeking all documents or communications the two have in their possession relating to Mueller's probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. The documents must be turned over by June 4. Hicks is subpoenaed to testify before the committee on June 19, while Donaldson's testimony is set for June 24 in her subpoena. It is unclear whether the White House will seek to block their testimony and production of documents on the basis of executive privilege as it has done with McGahn.

Without comment, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals turned down a request from Miller’s attorney to put off its formal release of the case to allow him to try to interest the Supreme Court in the challenge to special counsel Robert Mueller’s authority. Having turned down a series of pleas from Miller, the appeals court said it plans to issue its final disposition of the case next Tuesday.

Lomotey allegedly asked the passengers if they were single and complimented their appearances. At one point he allegedly pulled over, locked the car and told the victims, "you're not going anywhere," according to the criminal complaint... Lomotey, who faces charges including kidnapping and false imprisonment, posted bail on Monday. He is next due in court for a preliminary hearing on May 23.

In a blog post today, Google disclosed that it recently discovered a bug that caused some portion of G Suite users to have their passwords stored in plain text. The bug has been around since 2005, though Google says that it can’t find any evidence that anybody’s password was improperly accessed. It’s resetting any passwords that might be affected and letting G Suite administrators know about the issue.

SpaceX hopes to launch its Starhopper test vehicle skyward on its first flights soon. The short tests, which will take place out of SpaceX’s launch site in Boca Chica, Texas, will send the rocket to just under 1,640 feet (500 meters) high for its low-altitude flights and up to 16,400 feet (5,000 meters) high for its high-altitude flights, according to a modified application filed with the Federal Communications Commission. The heights match those that the company indicated in a similar filing last year.,,

Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan said Iran was forced to “put on hold” plans to harm American troops and their allies in the region: “I think our steps were very prudent and we’ve put on hold the potential for attacks on Americans and that is what is extremely important,” Shanahan told reporters at the Pentagon, though without giving specifics.
He added that Iran was ultimately forced to "recalculate" its aggression.
