New Hampshire U.S. Attorney Scott W. Murray’s Statement Regarding Sanctuary Cities…
February 11, 2020
Their lethal drugs reach our state through a network of traffickers who often employ criminal aliens as dealers to sell drugs in our communities... Here in New Hampshire, we frequently prosecute criminals who are unlawfully in this country, including those who have taken up residency in sanctuary cities in other states. Many of these criminal aliens have distributed fentanyl, heroin and other dangerous drugs, thereby causing great suffering... While New Hampshire has not been in the forefront of the sanctuary movement, it is important to realize that we are negatively impacted by the adoption of these policies in other states. The reality is that criminals can shelter behind sanctuary policies to the detriment of everyone else in society...

‘Throw them up against the wall’: Leaked recording of Bloomberg defending stop and frisk resurfaces…
February 11, 2020
The 2015 recording comes from a speaking event Bloomberg attended at the Aspen Institute, during which he acknowledged that the policy disproportionately affected minorities and defended it... Following the event, Bloomberg representatives requested that the Aspen Institute not distribute footage of the speech, and the organization obliged... The comments echoed a familiar pattern for the former mayor. In a radio appearance with WOR-NY host John Gambling in 2013, he said, “I think we disproportionately stop whites too much and minorities too little”... Back in November, before he officially declared his candidacy for the 2020 presidential election, Bloomberg apologized for the policy — a reversal from his numerous defenses.

PayPal tops the list of most impersonated brand in phishing attacks…
February 11, 2020
Cybercriminals use PayPal for phishing because of the quick financial payback from hacking PayPal accounts. Further, active PayPal accounts rose to more than 295 million in the third quarter, offering a huge base of targets for phishing attacks. In second place, Facebook impersonations may have become more popular due to an increase in sign-ons across the web using Facebook Login... By tricking people into logging into different sites using their Facebook credentials, attackers can see which apps they've set up then compromise those accounts... Microsoft impersonations took the third spot in Vade's list, posing a threat for businesses that use such products as Office 365.

People Born Blind Are Mysteriously Protected From Schizophrenia…
February 11, 2020
These findings suggest that something about congenital blindness may protect a person from schizophrenia. This is especially surprising, since congenital blindness often results from infections, brain trauma, or genetic mutation—all factors that are independently associated with greater risk of psychotic disorders. More strangely, vision loss at other periods of life is associated with higher risks of schizophrenia and psychotic symptoms. Even in healthy people, blocking vision for just a few days can bring about hallucinations.
