From 2012 to 2015, Suris and Sverdlov billed Medicare and CIGNA for prescription medications that Royal Care did not purchase or dispense to beneficiaries. In order to cover the scheme, Suris and Sverdlov obtained fake invoices from co-conspirators to make it appear thatRoyal Care had purchased the medicines for which it had billed Medicare and CIGNA.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled 2-1 that it doesn't have the authority to decide the case, essentially making congressional subpoenas to the White House invalid. House Democrats had wanted McGahn to testify amid its investigation into whether Trump attempted to obstruct Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation.

The patient is a 65-year-old person from Santa Clara County, with no known history of travel to places hit hard by the outbreak, and no contact with a known case of the virus. San Francisco police have arrested a 20-year-old man they say recorded a viral video of an elderly man collecting recyclables being taunted, attacked and robbed... The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the Bayview neighborhood. A video, which went viral after being posted to social media, shows a man striking the victim, identified as a 68-year-old Asian man, in the head with a metal pole.

Andrew Walz isn't a real person. A high school student from upstate New York created the fake congressional candidate -- complete with website, AI-generated photograph and Twitter account -- to test the social media platform's verification system. According to CNN Business, it took the teenager all of 25 minutes to set everything up. Within a few months, Twitter reached out to Andrew Walz and verified his account, earning him a blue badge next to his name.

Pope Francis, who has raised concerns about the uncontrolled spread of AI technologies, gave his backing in a speech read on his behalf at a conference attended by Microsoft president Brad Smith (MSFT.O) and IBM (IBM.N) Vice President John Kelly. The pope is ill and could not deliver the address himself.

Bernie Sanders’ political organization Our Revolution imposed a nondisclosure agreement on a fired worker alleging racial discrimination. The agreement prevents Tezlyn Figaro from speaking publicly about her allegations against the group founded by the Vermont senator...

The House approved the bill, 213-195, on Friday, sending it to the Senate, where approval is considered unlikely. The White House said in a statement that President Donald Trump's administration opposes the bill.

Stocks cratered again on Friday as investors fled riskier assets amid intense fears about a slowdown in global growth caused by the deadly coronavirus. All three major average ended the week deep in correction territory, more than 10% off their most recent highs. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost nearly 3,500 points since Monday.

Black and ethnic minority (BAME) people account for about 13 per cent of the national workforce but secure 23 per cent of on-screen roles, the statistics show. Over-representation is particularly stark on drama programmes, where ethnic minority actors win more than a quarter (26.4 per cent) of parts, as well as children’s TV (30.3 per cent) and comedies (24.9 per cent). Lesbian, gay and bisexual people are nearly twice as likely to appear on television — where they take 11.9 per cent of roles — than would be expected by their estimated 6.4 per cent share of the national population.

The same court decided to keep another major change on hold, one that denies asylum to anyone who enters the U.S. illegally from Mexico. A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on the two policies that are central to President Donald Trump’s asylum crackdown, dealing the administration a major setback, even if it proves temporary.

As the paper explains, the readings from the rover suggest that the top layer of lunar regolith — the pale, dusty soil that covers what we see of the Moon — stretches roughly 39 feet deep. This is mostly loose soil with the occasional rock tossed in for good measure. The next layer, which stretches another 40 feet deep, is made up of larger grains than the top layer, as well as a greater number of larger stones and rocks. The final layer detected by the radar stretches at least another 50 feet into the Moon, is made up of a mixture of both larger and fine grains of material. The radar’s maximum range ended in this layer, so we still don’t know what lies beneath it.
