Scientists from Rochester Institute of Technology have discovered a newborn massive planet closer to Earth than any other of similarly young age found to date. The baby giant planet, called 2MASS 1155-7919 b, is located in the Epsilon Chamaeleontis Association and lies only about 330 light years from our solar system.

The draft law, introduced by Democratic Sens. Facial recognition is being increasingly used by law enforcement across the US "without appropriate debate or consideration of its impacts," the bill says. It also notes the technology is not always accurate, especially among ethnic groups, women and young people.

Regulators have launched an investigation into the relationship between the American boss of one of Britain's largest banks and the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, the bank said Thursday. Jes Staley, the chief executive of Barclays, said he first met Epstein in 2000 but has had no contact with him since starting his current job in December 2015.
